திருமூலரின் அறிவியல் சிந்தனைகள் (Scientific Thoughts of Thirumoolar)

Abstract

ஆய்வுச்சுருக்கம்

திருமூலர் குறைந்தபட்சம் 1500  ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முந்தியவர் என்று குறிப்பிடுகிறார்கள். திருமூலர் திருமந்திரத்தில் மூவாயிரத்துக்கும் மேற்பட்ட பாடல்கள் உள்ளன. இத்திருமந்திரம் ஒன்பது தந்திரங்களாய் உள்ளது. திருமூலர் திருமந்திரத்தை முழுவதுமாகப் படித்து அதில் உள்ள விஞ்ஞான குறிப்புகளை தேர்ந்தெடுத்து கட்டுரை எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த கட்டுரை விதையும் முளைப்பும், வடிவியல், மில்லியனில் ஒரு பங்கு, விதை நாற்றாங்கால் தத்துவங்களின் எண்ணிக்கை, நான்கு வகை நிலங்கள், வானவில் வண்ணம், மேகங்கள், பருவகாலங்கள்,  களர் நிலம்,  பல் உயிரினம் சூரிய காந்தக்கல், உடற்கூறியியல் ஏழு ஸ்வரங்கள், சுவாச காற்று  போன்று 30 விஞ்ஞான குறிப்புகளை உள்ளடக்கியது.

Abstract

'Thirumanthiram’ is an old Tamil literature written by Thirumoolar, one of the 63 nayanmars, about 1500 years ago. This literary work is considered a treasure of knowledge.  This paper aims to cull out the scientific information found in the book and relate it to current scientific data. It deals with agriculture, including seasons, land classification, nursery, germination, human body and health, breathing, music, teaching, and general science, including Rainbow VIBGYOR, magnetic lens, and geometry. About 35 songs and scientific details of about 30 key points are discussed. The findings are presented in a crispy manner to encourage the readers to devour the content of the full book to obtain a wholesome experience of reading ancient science while juxtaposing the information with the contemporary field of science.
