கோவிட்- 19 பெருந்தொற்று காலத்தில் தொலைக்காட்சித் தமிழ்ச் செய்திகள் ஓர் ஆய்வு (A Study of RTM TV Tamil News during Covid-19 Pandemic)

ஆய்வுச் சுருக்கம்

சீனாவின் வுஹான் நகரில் தோன்றிய கோவிட்-19 தொற்று நோய் பல நாடுகளில் பரவி வரலாறு காணாத பாதிப்பை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது. உலகளவில் கோவிட்-19 தொற்றுநோயின் தீவிரம் குறைந்திருந்தாலும், தொற்று இன்னும் முழுமையாக ஒழிக்கப்படவில்லை. உலக சுகாதார நிறுவனம் இந்த நோயைப் பற்றிய தகவல்களை மக்களிடம் கொண்டு செல்வது அவசியம் என்று கருதுகிறது. இந்நிலையில், நமது நாட்டு அரசும் மக்களுக்குச் சரியான தகவல்களை வழங்குவதில் மும்முரமாக இருந்தது. மலேசிய சுகாதார அமைச்சகம், மற்ற முக்கிய அமைப்புகளுடன் இணைந்து, பல்வேறு வடிவங்களில் பொதுமக்களுக்கு உரிய நேரத்தில் தகவல்களைப் பரப்பியது. கோவிட்-19 தொற்றுநோய்க்கான அதிகாரப்பூர்வ ஊடகம் RTM ஆகும். (சைஃபுதீன், 2020). இந்த காலகட்டத்தில் பல வகையான செய்திகள் பிரத்தியேகமாக ஒளிபரப்பப்பட்டன, இந்நிலையில் மலேசிய இந்தியர்களிடையே கோவிட்-19 தொடர்பான செய்திகளைப் பரப்புவதில் RTM TV தமிழ் செய்திகளின் பங்கை இந்தக் கட்டுரை ஆராய்கிறது. ஆர்டிஎம் டிவி தமிழ் செய்திகளை தொடர்ந்து பார்ப்பவர்களை ஈடுபடுத்தி இந்த ஆய்வுக்கட்டுரை தயாரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த ஆய்வுக்கான தரவு பனிப்பந்து முறையைப் பயன்படுத்தி சேகரிக்கப்பட்டு SPSS மென்பொருளைப் பயன்படுத்தி பகுப்பாய்வு செய்யப்பட்டது.

The Covid-19 pandemic that originated in Wuhan, China, has spread to many countries and caused an unprecedented impact. Although the severity of the Covid-19 pandemic has decreased globally, the infection has still not been completely eradicated. The World Health Organization considers it essential to bring information to the public about this disease, which is often mutated. In this case, the government of our country has also been busy providing correct information to the people. The Malaysian Ministry of Health, in collaboration with other key organizations, disseminated information to the public promptly in a variety of formats. Thus, RTM has taken the responsibility of being the official media for Covid- 19 Pandemic (Saifuddin, 2020). Several types of news were broadcast exclusively during this period, and this article examines the role of RTM TV Tamil news in disseminating the Covid- 19 related information among Malaysian Indians. This research paper has been prepared by involving the regular viewers of RTM TV Tamil news. Data for this study were collected using the snowball method and analyzed using SPSS software. Based on this research, it is clear that although information related to the Covid-19 outbreak is broadcasted through RTM TV Tamil news on television and social media, the primary choice of Malaysian Indians is television. However, in this modern era of the 4.0 industrial revolution, few Malaysian Indians watch RTM TV Tamil news via social media.
