Four Integrated Intellectual Talents: An Introduction to the Literary Research Methods

Abstract

Literary concept is the basis of all kinds of literary research. A piece of literature may have many facets, but only one point of view can fit into researching a piece of literature. This focus leads to the four integrated intellectual talents which has been pioneered by Mohammed Yusuf Bin. This Paper deals with the four intellectual talents, their history and growth. Further, the Paper explains how these four talents can be applied to literary research. They are Religious, Knowledgeable, Scientific and Refreshing Thought Processes. This integrated four talents have been applied in Malaysian Literary Research and through this Paper would inspire and guide Tamil literary researches.

ஆய்வுச்சுருக்கம்

இன்று மேற்கொள்ளப்படும் இலக்கிய ஆராய்ச்சிகளுக்கு அடிப்படையாக அமைவது இலக்கியக் கோட்பாடாகும். தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்படும் இலக்கியத்தின் மூலமாக பல்வேறு தகவல்களை ஆராய முடிந்தாலும், ஒரு இலக்கியத்தை குறிப்பிட்ட கோணத்தில் அலசி ஆராய்வதற்கு தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்படும் அந்த இலக்கியக் கோட்பாடு வழிவகுக்கும். அவ்வகையில் அமையப்பட்ட ஓர் இலக்கியக் கோட்பாடே, ஒருங்கிணைப்பட்ட நான்குச் சிந்தனைகள் என்பதாகும். அக்கோட்பாடு முகமாட் யூசோப் பின் ஹசான் அவர்களால் அறிமுகம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. அவ்வகையில் இவ்வாராய்ச்சிக் கட்டுரையானது, ஒருங்கிணைப்பட்ட நான்குச் சிந்தனைகள் என்ற இந்த இலக்கியக் கோட்பாட்டில் அமைந்துள்ள நான்குச் சிந்தனைகள் பற்றிய விளக்கத்தையும், இக்கோட்பாடு உருவான வரலாற்றையும், இக்கோட்பாடு எப்படி இலக்கிய ஆராய்ச்சிக்கு பயன்படுத்தலாம் என்ற பல்வேறு தகவல்களை விளக்க முற்படுகின்றது. இவ்வாராய்ச்சிக் கட்டுரையின் வாயிலாக இதுவரை மலாய் இலக்கிய ஆராய்ச்சி உலகில் பயன்படுத்தபட்டு வந்த இந்த ஒருங்கிணைப்பட்ட நான்குச் சிந்தனைகள் இலக்கியக் கோட்பாடு, தமிழிலக்கிய ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்களுக்கு ஒரு வழிக்காட்டலாக அமைய வழிவகுக்கும்.
