Abstract

This study aims to reveal the lexical, contextual, and rhetorical connotations encompassed by the term Rushd in the light of Surah Al-Kahf, which collectively forms an integrated Qur’anic pedagogical methodology. To achieve this aim, the study adopts an inductive approach by tracing the three occurrences of the term in Surah Al-Kahf. It then applies a descriptive-analytical method to interpret the term based on established sources of tafsir, such as Al-Tabari, Ibn Kathir, Al-Qurtubi, Ibn Ashour, and others. The results indicate that the term al-Rushd, with its various derivations, embodies a unique educational methodology comprising three stages that contribute to the spiritual and moral development of the Muslim individual: the stage of success, representing the divine providence bestowed upon righteous servants at the beginning of the path, coupled with the presence of the guide as the mentor on the path of truth; the stage of guidance, reflecting steadfastness on the straight path and continuity in righteousness until the goal is achieved; and the stage of insight, corresponding to the accurate understanding of reality and acting accordingly.The study highlights the Qur’an’s concern with nurturing human beings emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually within a progressively integrated educational methodology. It demonstrates the deep interdependence between linguistic significance, Qur’anic context, and the educational dimension, concluding that Surah Al-Kahf provides a stepwise applied model of rationality that reflects a distinctive.
